Technical Adviser of Barau FC, Ladan Bosso has expressed delight after fans of the club came out in their numbers to support the team in the 3-2 victory over Kwara United.

The newly promoted side defeated Kwara United in a scintillating fashion at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano in match day 15 of the ongoing 2025/26 NPFL season.

Bosso said that his side kept focus during the clash noting that “my boys were hungry to get the victory. You can see the importance of the fans. They kept supporting and cheering the team. The outcome of the game was our ability to manage the game. I want to appreciate our fans for their consistent support.”

Speaking ahead of his return to his former side in Maiduguri, Bosso assured that Barau FC will give their best against El-Kanemi Warriors.

Rivers Angels’ striker, Grace Saliu, is gearing up for a thrilling match against her former club, Naija Ratels, this Wednesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium. Saliu expressed her eagerness to face her former team, stating, “The match against Naija Ratels is a big match, and I’m willing to give my all because I’m an attacker, and I’m supposed to score.”

“Last season has passed. You don’t judge the team with players of last season. We have different players last season, and this season, let’s see how it goes when the game starts.”

Led by Mr. Victor Ekewuba—fondly known as Coach Vic—and Chairman of the 2025 Bike Fes Planning Committee, Mr. Hero, the delegation said the appointment was both a recognition of Onyeocha’s growing influence in the state’s sports sector and an appreciation of his commitment to nurturing emerging sports cultures.

The club further briefed the commissioner on preparations for this year’s Bike Fes, a two-day spectacle scheduled for November 28–29 in Owerri. They sought the ministry’s partnership to elevate the festival, which has become one of the state’s boldest expressions of sports tourism and youth engagement.

Onyeocha, visibly delighted by the honour, commended the bikers for their discipline, creativity, and contribution to tourism growth. He assured them of the ministry’s support for the festival and promised a more structured collaboration that would position future biking events firmly on the state’s sports calendar.

Heartland Queens began their 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership season on a winning note, coming from behind to secure a 2–1 victory over Ekiti Queens in a spirited Matchday 1 fixture at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

The visitors stunned the home supporters just four minutes into the contest as Amarachi Okoronkwo capitalised on a defensive lapse to put Ekiti Queens ahead. The early setback, however, jolted the hosts into action.
