NPFL Roundup: Newcomers Pick Wins as Enyimba Claim Derby Bragging Rights Over Rangers

The trio of newly promoted sides, Barau FC, Kun Khalifat FC and Warri Wolves secured home victories in their respective match day 15 NPFL encounters.

Barau FC secured a late victory over visiting Kwara United in a five-goal thriller after it ended 3-2 in favour of the Kano-based side.

In Owerri, Kun Khalifat FC got the better of Plateau United 2-0 while Warri Wolves saw off league leaders, Nasarawa United by a lone goal.

Meanwhile, Enyimba FC under interim gaffer, Lawrence Ukaegbu claimed the derby bragging rights over Rangers International at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba. The People’s Elephant beat the Flying Antelopes 2-1 in a thrilling match.

Elsewhere, Ikorodu City beat Abia Warriors by a lone goal while Shooting Stars recorded the identical scoreline defeating El-Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in Ibadan. Bayelsa United and Katsina United shared the spoils one apiece in Yenagoa.
