The Desire Oparanozie foundation, a Non Governmental Organization, has partnered the Embassy of France in Nigeria to organize programs aimed at growing sports in secondary and pre tertiary schools in Imo state.
The foundation, owned by a former Super Falcons attacker, Desire Oparanozie sealed the agreement and is now set to host the training in Owerri, the Imo capital.
Oparanozie through her foundation- Desire Oparanozie Foundation (The Oparanozie9 Initiative) has provided succour to the girl child and the latest initiative is meant to enrich the social intellect of secondary schools students and also to prepare them for the future tasks
The special programme, billed for Cynthia Hall, Rock View Hotel, Owerri on Wednesday September 4th, has the theme : Sporting Activities for Schools- Paris 2024.
Some of the activities scheduled for the day include Language, cuisine and cultural immersion; career challenges and adaptations; sports, football and the Olympics; personal and health growth and Olympic Games history and many more.
The programme is open for secondary school students from ages 12 to 17 and 40 schools from across Imo state have been invited for the programme.
Besides the France Embassy in Nigeria, Institut Francais Nigeria and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games organisers are the other sponsors.
