Following his impressive performance to help Rangers International emerge winners of the 2023/2024 NPFL season, father to attacking sensation, Kingsley Maduforo has revealed how he tried to stop him from playing football, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Chief Sir Alex Maduforo made the revelation during a novelty game in honour of Maduforo at Orji Town Primary School in Owerri, Imo State.
According to him, he tried all his best to stop him while praying that his son gets good offers within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
“I am highly delighted and very happy. Since the year he was given birth, he has been interested in football and today he is still interested. By the special grace of God, he will go places.
“There was a time I was so much worried. I did everything a man could do to stop him from playing but he insists. I later allowed him. We are still praying to God to throw more light on him at a foreign club.”
