The Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike (JP) has expressed optimism of an improved outing from the Super Eagles in subsequent AFCON, despite losing to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in the final match of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Speaking on his commitment to the development of sports in the country, the Nigeria Pillar of Sports said he would continue to inspire, guide, and shape the future of sports in Nigeria by leaving behind a legacy.
He said: “I have passion when it comes to development of sports. I love sports so much and that is why I am doing my best to see what we can do to develop sports in Nigeria and beyond.
“There is nothing we can do. The most important thing to do is to carry your people along, especially to develop humanity and sports. It will make you to be happy than having money in your pocket.
“My message to Super Eagles and all of us is that we shall continue to do our best. That’s my own belief is that there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
