One of the biggest name in goalkeeping in the 80s and former Spartans of Owerri goalkeeper, Coach Evans Ukaegbu has hailed Super Eagles shot-stopper, Stanley Nwabali for his heroics at the just concluded 2023 AFCON, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Ukaegbu, who decried the inability of the Chippa United goalkeeper to calculate his movement in the final that led to the equaliser, however commended his efforts.
According to him; “The boy did very well and tried his best. He saved a lot of balls. Apart from the penalty, he saved us from leaving the competition early.
“Sometime man is not perfect. That equaliser he made a very big mistake. He should have calculated very properly. I give him 90%. He tried his best.”
