Emmanuel FC of Orlu created waves at the Imo State League as they won the first two games of the season to top Group A with six points.

The newly formed team, coached by Daniel Omeka has proved that his run in the Federation Cup, where he got to Round 32 with Fr Eburuaya FC was not a fluke.

The Ghanaian-training coach, who was formally with Heartland Queens said he wants to create a record in the competition by emerging champions to represent the state at the zonal play offs later in the year.

The young tactician, whose football philosophy is based on progressive youth development, believes that the future of the young players in the team is bright.

He told Wakawaka Sports Extra that he is expecting a great improvement from the boys, who have won two games in their maiden competition as a team with their last group game against Eveready FC on Tuesday.
