Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP, Mohammed Ahmed Barde has congratulated Inspector Henry Ibeh and Heartland FC for winning the Nigeria National League, NNL, Super 8 and gaining promotion to the Nigeria Premier League, NPL.
The Commissioner expressed satisfaction that one of his staff, Henry Ibeh of the tactical unit was in the team that made the state and command proud in the 2022/23 NNL season and ended up as the best team in the NNL by going 14-game unbeaten in the regular season and the playoffs.
He applauded Coach Christian Obi led technical team for being the best throughout the season and urged them to keep up the good work.
In his response, Coach Obi, who described Inspector Ibeh as a role model to the players with his professional development in the team, asked for more men like him in the command to be drafted into the team.
CP Barde said he will be willing to release good footballers to assist the team in the coming season.
The Heartland management led by the General Manager, Mr Promise Nwachukwu thanked the Commissioner for allowing Inspector Ibeh to discover his talent and assured him that the team and the Police are partners in progress in the state.
Nwachukwu went further to decorate CP Barde with customize wears of the club.
The ceremony at the Police Headquarters Owerri had in attendance Senior Police officers and management, members of the command, coaches, members of Heartland FC led by the General Manager, the Sports officer of the command, Supol Raf Ubah, Oyoyo International, POCACOV Chairman in Imo State, Mr Kennedy Onwunali, PPRO and the Command Supol, Henry Okoye.
