Heartland FC of Owerri Defensive Midfielder, Puma Paul has said that he can’t wait to relish the opportunity of plying his trade in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
The midfield maestro, who was a key figure for his team’s return to the NPFL, noted that it was an honour to be part of the success story for the Naze Millionaires.
He went further to appreciate the technical crew led by Christian Obi, management of the team and teeming fans for an incredible journey and support in the just concluded Nigeria National League season.
“It’s an honour to work with the entire management and serving this great club these past months. I thank most especially the fans, technical crew and the entire management.
“I can’t wait to play in the premier league because that is the biggest stage in Nigeria league football. We promised the fans that we will secure promotion and that we achieved in an amazing way.
“As for next season, I’m looking forward to it so that I can showcase my talent and contribute to the success of the team.”
The Defensive Midfield General, as a way of thanking fans for being a part of their success story, donated Heartland FC Jersey replicas during the off-season.
Meanwhile, there are strong indications that Paul is attracting strong interest from teams in the NPFL, who are looking forward to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
