The end to every hostility in Nguru Uboma Ahia Ise has been declared by the people of Nguru in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
The declaration which took place during the Ike Aka Nguru comprising all the five communities that make up Nguru Uboma, Oboma 22/23 Eze Damian Njoku, Ekwueme 2 of Nguru Nwenkwo Autonomous Community outlined the need for everyone in the community to leave in harmony among each other.
According to him, it is expected that absolute peace should reign till the end of Itu Aka Nguru on the 18th of February with a church service at Nguru Centre and cultural program that follows to usher in the new farming season.
In the same vein, Olu Nguru, Professor, C.C Nwachukwu said a ban on farming has been declared in Nguru till the end of the festival and Uboma points to the direction his children will farm on during the farming season.
He also reiterated the ban on all manner of conflict in the community as well as reporting of any issue in the land to law enforcement agency till the celebration is over.
Recalling the origin of the greatest cultural festival in Nguru, Zimoha Nguru, Sir Celestine Nnodim urged the traditional rulers in Nguru to educate the new generation of titled holders in their Communities to understand the value of the ceremony.
The Uboma train which began its moment from the palace of Eze Njoku to Nguru Nweafor, Nguru Nweorie, Nguru Nwe Ekeoha before moving to Nguru Nweke and ended up at the host Community Nguru Nwenkwo.
On the entourage of Uboma were traditional rulers led by Eze Reginald Amadi, Eze, James Ndubuisi Nnamdi, President General Nguru Development Union Dr, Augustine Odunze, the Loc led by Nze Ugochukwu Uduaku, titled men Nde ji okwa Nguru they were received with loud ovation in all the communities of Nguru Uboma Ahia Ise.
The next will be the igwo onwa on the eleventh at the palace of Eze Damian Njoku at Ogwu Ochoa Nguru Nwenkwo followed on the 18th with the Itu Aka Nguru at Nguru Centre.
