The Dream of revival of the game of Netball in Nigeria in the with the Values of Olympism is about to be actualized in order to give the sporting event which appears to be abandoned that platform of existence for participation of Young minds for strategic leadership direction.This was disclosed by the National Coordinator POCACOV,CSP Ebere Amaraizu while reacting on the essence and importance bringing up to speed and existence the game of NETBALL .He maintained that not much is known about the game and as a result lacks that facility to inspire young minds to greatness as a sporting event pointing out that the IGP POCACOV Resource Centre is developing a Module of engagement and with an activity tagged “POCACOV NETBALL REBIRTH.This is in line with the tenet and philosophy of Olympism which has placed Sport at the service of HumanKind.Netball supposed to be taking same place with other Sporting event at all levels of competition but unfortunately ,not much is known by many about the sports which existed years back.With the activity tagged POCACOV NETBALL REBIRTH,POCACOV in partnership with stakeholders and multi Agencies shall commence mobilizations and partnership as well as enhancement of participation for the utilization of the instrumentality of Netball in the engagement of young minds of under 15 (MALE AND FEMALE Category) from various schools and colleges for strategic leadership direction and sustainance of the game. Amaraizu who also is a sports coach further highlighted that building of a better World through Sports is a vision of Olympism and Netball as a sporting event cannot be found missing in the quest for olympism values of excellence,Respect and Friendship which will help to drive for peace,safety and security for greater society and communities.The Modules will cut across workplans for the systematic actualization of the process with the ministry of Education,Youths and Sports and Various school management amongst other relevant stakeholders and multi Agencies.
