Family of Traditional Worshippers Escape Into Exile After Govt, IPOB Assault in Orlu

Families of traditional worshippers in South-East, Nigeria have gone into hiding following the repeated killings of their members by government forces and members of the proscribed IPOB in the zone since the struggle for the independent State of Biafra began.

The traditional worshippers have come under attacks by both sides with many of them and their family members dead in a state sponsored killings which has made them run away from their domain for safety.


It will be recorded that the family of a powerful traditional worshipper in Amaifeke Orlu Imo state, Mr Sylvanus Ohajimadu was attacked on December 29th 2021 on the accusation that he prepared bulletproof charms which fortified the fighters before going to fight with the Nigerian Army.


It was gathered that this lead to the killing of Mr Sylvanus Ohajimaduhis only son Ohajimadu Valentine Tochukwu.

According to information gathered by our correspondent from the traditional ruler of the community, HRH Eze DR. E.C. Okeke, and mother escaped been killed on the fateful day.


According to him, the Ohajimadu family land has been acquired by the Army as the son and mother, Mrs Florence Ohajimadu and others have been declared wanted by the Nigerian Army and their family building raised down by the Army.
