The Tasieobi Global Foundation has continued its educational intervention initiative, Back To School Project ‘25, with another impactful outreach at Primary School 1, Amakohia Uratta, in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.
The visit, which marked the 12th outing of the foundation’s school support program, took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and saw over 200 pupils receive educational materials to aid their learning.
Guided by Dr. Igwe Jennifer Chimamaka, a lecturer and advocate for social development and gender equality, the foundation’s team arrived early in the day and held a brief meeting with the school management before engaging with the pupils.
Welcoming the delegation, the Headmistress, Mrs. Onyenekwu Margaret, expressed delight at the foundation’s gesture and commended the team for their efforts to promote education among children in public schools. She lamented that some pupils face neglect at home, often sent to hawk before coming to school, which affects their punctuality and preparedness for learning.
Addressing the pupils, the foundation’s Founder, Sir Elvis Tasieobi, delivered a motivational talk titled “Success Through Diligence.” He urged the children to develop habits of hard work, discipline, and consistency in their pursuit of excellence.
He encouraged them to emulate their teachers, whom he described as “models of passion and dedication despite limited rewards from society and government,” adding that diligence remains a proven pathway to success.
“If you want to achieve success, come to school every day and early. Pay attention in class, do your homework, respect your teachers, and obey your parents,” Tasieobi advised.
He further charged the pupils to be self-driven, reading and studying even when unsupervised. “When your teacher is not around, instead of playing, read. If there is no light, use a lantern or candle to study. If it’s raining, find a way to come to school. Diligence helps people succeed above their limitations,” he said.
The interactive session ended with an affirmation exercise, as the pupils repeated motivational chants led by the foundation’s founder.
Team members later joined the teachers in distributing educational materials to 200 selected pupils, followed by photo and video sessions. The team subsequently proceeded to its next stop — Shell Camp Primary School, Owerri — as part of its ongoing outreach series.
Speaking after the event, the foundation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education and improving learning outcomes for children across communities.
