The Wife of Abia State Chief Judge, Mrs Ijeoma Onuoha-Ogwe has buried her mother, Late Lady Eunice Osuji in Imo.
The burial took place in Umuokpo, Amumara, Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo on Thursday.
Onuoha-Ogwe, the communication officer, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) , also eulogized the late Matriarch describing her as an epitome of love.
She said that her mother lived a God- filled life as a believer and soldier of the Christian faith.
She added that her mother, an astute adherent of the Anglican church, baptized all her children in the same faith where they grew to become devout christians.
“Da Yeena (as the deceased was popularly called) left an impeccable testimony of uprightness and lived a contented life and left a legacy of humility in us and in humanity”, she said.
Speaking during a requiem service at St John’s Anglican Church, Amumara, Ezinihitte Mbaise, the officiating minister, Ven. J.O.J Ezeji prayed God to wipe out tears of those who are anguished and in sorrow.
He urged all the bereaved to live uprightly so as to be able to inherit everlasting life in future and impart positively on future generations.
” The lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears.
” What remains for the living is to remain upright and lead lives worthy of emulation by the younger generation for future eternal life “, he added.
The event was well attended by top government officials from Abia and Imo states.
