Nelo Dreams Foundation, RIFC Foundation Hold Workplace Mental Health Workshop in Abuja

The Nelo Dreams Foundation International, in partnership with the Rangers International Football Club (RIFC) Foundation, has concluded a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) Workshop on Workplace Mental Health in Abuja.

The workshop, which ended on a high note, brought participants together for practical sessions aimed at helping them identify, manage and overcome challenges associated with mental health in the workplace.

A major focus of the programme was stress and burnout management, with participants introduced to REBT techniques for identifying and challenging irrational beliefs and thought patterns that can contribute to workplace stress.

The workshop also addressed emotional regulation, equipping participants with practical tools for managing pressure, workplace conflicts and performance anxiety.

Participants further explored psychological safety and team culture, with emphasis on creating supportive work environments where individuals can communicate effectively, manage challenges and contribute meaningfully to organisational goals.

The programme also examined the connection between mental health, productivity and holistic well-being, highlighting the importance of supporting employees as a means of improving performance, retention and overall organisational health.

At the end of the workshop, participants were equipped with actionable SEL and REBT toolkits designed to support individual well-being, strengthen team productivity and promote healthier workplaces.

The organisers said the initiative reflects their commitment to going “Beyond the Pitch” by investing in mentally healthy people and promoting sustainable development beyond football and sports.

The workshop forms part of the broader efforts of the Nelo Dreams Foundation International and RIFC Foundation to promote human development, emotional well-being and positive workplace cultures.
