Former Nigeria league top scorer and Iwuanyanwu National prolific striker, Chibuzor Ozurumba is set to tie the knot with his heart throb Chioma Nduanusi on 31/5/25.
The wedding is billed to take place at the Methodist Church Mcc/ Uratta road Owerri which will be followed by the reception at government secondary School Owerri.
Ozurumba in his early days helped Gray international secondary School Kaduna to win the NNPC/SHELL cup for secondary schools in the year 2000 and also emerged as the most valuable player (MVP) and the highest goal scorer in the competition.
In continuation of his career in football, he had a brief stint with Jasper United fc of Onitsha before switching to Iwuanyanwu Nationale in 2002 and went ahead to book his name as the highest goal scorer in the league by 2003 with 13 goals.
The goal merchant also won the CAF champions league with Enyimba international fc of Aba in 2004 and in 2011 he helped Heartland fc of Owerri to defeat his former club Enyimba international fc in the finals of the Federation Cup decided in Lagos.
His performances in the various clubs he played for earned him a national recognition and also inspired a generation of young footballers within and beyond Imo state.
The lethal finisher now retired still contributes to the game that has remained ever green in the hearts of heartland fans and stakeholders.
The sports writers association of Nigeria (SWAN) Imo state chapter congratulates the former league highest goal scorer and Iwuanyanwu Nationale attacking ace and wishes him and Chioma a blissful and enduring marriage.
