In an International Friendly match played at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, Nigeria’s Senior female National Team, Super Falcons secured a convincing 2 – 0 victory over Algeria, reports silvernews.com.ng

The team led by Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, who scored both goals, the Falcons show – cased their strength and depth, despite several changes to their regular team starting line up.

The match suffered a delayed Kick-off, approximately a 10 minutes delay from the earlier scheduled 3pm kick off time.

Despite the disruption, the Super Falcons found their rythm, demonstrating their focus and readiness, leading to a very comfortable victory against their North African Rival.

Team’s interim coach, Justin Magudu made notable changes to the usual starting line up, Fielding a few regular starters like , Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Oluwatosin Demelin.

The line up included many players from the local league and fringe squad members, reflecting Coach Magudu’s commitment to testing the depth of the squad.

The team displayed confession and determination throughout the match.

The Super Falcons show – Cased a clinical performance in the first half, with Ajibade opening the score in the 24th minute with a superb finish.

She doubled the lead just before half time.

The team had some struggles with passing and co – ordination due to the changes in line up, but their ability to capitalize on their chances was commendable.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade shone brightly with her two goals, high-lighting her importance to the team.

Their combined effort secured the victory and also demonstrated the individual talents in the team.

Through-out the match, Algeria struggled to mount a serious challenge against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Nigeria dominated possession and created more opportunities, while Algeria failed failed to threaten goal-keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who had little to do and was largely un-tested.

The Super Falcons took control of the pace of the game and secured a well deserved Victory.
