The Head Coach of the Nigeria Female U 17 National Team (Flamingoes), Bankole Olowookere, was very satisfied to see his team continue to win their FIFA U 17 women’s World Cup group matches with a perfect record.
In their final group game, Coach Bankole”s team defeated the host, Dominican Republic 1 – 0 on Wednesday Morning.
Nigeria’s goal in the 89th minute was scored by Shakirat Moshood.
With three games played and Nine points, the Flamingoes have emerged top of Group A.
‘I am so happy, I am happy for myself, happy for the team and happy for our country Nigeria”, She said.
“We knew in the match we had to manage our energy and strength, these are you girls with many games to play, so we had to take things easy”.
On this week Saturday night, Nigeria will battle it out with the United States Of America in the quarter finals games.
