Heartland Football Club Technical Adviser and former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Amuneke has said his interest is to serve the club and not anything else, Silvernews.com.ng reports.

Speaking during a media parley with members of SWAN, Imo State Chapter, Amuneke noted that he is committed to his new role with the Naze Millionaires.

The 1994 African Footballer of the Year went further to state that he has moved on from anything pertaining Super Eagles while wishing whoever that is there well.

“The moment I put my head inside something, I don’t think of the other side. National team issue is behind me and I am not bothered about anything. It’s not a must it will come to me. The most important thing is that whoever that is there to bring something positive that move our football.

“Today, I am in Imo State and if you tell me that I will be in Imo State for a very long time, I will tell you that you are joking but I am here today. It is the will of God for me to be here. I have to serve my people. My interest is not with Super Eagles or anything.

“My interest is to serve Heartland, Imolites and collectively we will do what we have to do. I am keen in preparing my players to understand how to defend and take their chances.”
