A scout with Bayern Global Consultants, James Damire has called on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to develop football from the grassroots level, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Speaking at a scouting programme in Port Harcourt, Damire said talents abound at the grassroots level, especially for the U-20 national team.
“I am seeing one or two talents that we know that we can transfer to one of the European countries.
“The advice I have for them is that they should brace up because the national team, U-20 are not developing. I can point two boys here who can do better than most players in the U-20 right now.
“The way forward for grassroots football is that it’s through it that talents emerge but we have not developed it. We need them to develop football from the grassroots so that we can have good players.”
