Hon. Philip Shaibu, Edo State deputy governor, and leading governorship aspirant for the state gubernatorial polls in November, alongside nine others, on Monday, got the clearance of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governorship Screening Committee after appearing before it.
Eight of the aspirants were on hand to receive their clearance certificates from the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.
Bature confirmed that “all ten aspirants were cleared.”
However, one aspirant, Balogun Sunday, who paid N5 million and obtained the expression of interest form, did not show up for screening because he did not buy the nomination forms.
