The Enugu State Taekwondo Association (ETA) has lauded the efforts of the Enugu Taekwondo School on the successful hosting of the Long Vacation Taekwondo Camp for Children and young persons ( boys and girls )for ages 4 to I6 in partnership with the police Campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices (POCACOV) at the arena of indoor sports hall complex ,Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu – Nigeria .
This was made known by the Chairman of the Association ,CSP Ebere Amaraizu who also is the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices (POCACOV) while reacting on the Takeaways and lessons of the activity as well as it’s impact on children and young persons and on the society .Amaraizu who also is a coach and Olympic sports Administrator while giving insight on the objective of the activity which took place between 11th August to 14th September ,Lauded the efforts of grandmaster Dennis Ani with the crew made up of coach frank ,Musa ,chibuzo on disposition of technical abilities to impact on the children and young persons on the essence of the activity .He also have kudos to the taekwondo board for the continual support and willingness to work with the police campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices (POCACOV) in order to make our children and young persons better for a functional Community. Amaraizu however went further to give grand master Dennis Ani led technical crew pass marks on the strict and logical implementations of outlined training programmes geared towards exposing them to critical thinking,Strenghtening their resilience for positive coping skills and taekwondo tenets and values in order to make it difficult to yield into pressures of recruitment into membership of organized criminal groups (OCGs) ,unlawful societies as well as other forms of vices amongst others .The long vacation taekwondo Camp was a good one ,we used the activity in partnership with Nigeria police Force through POCACOV on our children must Thrive to build confidence of participants .We gave them speed , endurance and Strenght to sustain their coping skills and they are good to go .It was geared towards occupying their minds during the long vacation and we thank their parents for understanding and cooperation .With they saw ,a lot of them are inspired and ready to cope with challenges both at home and in school .
Similarly ,efforts are intensified by the Enugu state Taekwondo board with the taekwondo school to host 3rd Edition of Enugu state poomsae challenge and championship for children and young persons ( Boys and girls) around November ,2023 and this will help in their gradings and promotions to various taekwondo belt statutes
