Leading media organisation in the country, Wakawaka Sports Extra, has joined well-meaning Nigerians to congratulate Heartland FC on its promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL and George Aluo, as the new Chairman of the Nigeria National League, NNL.
In a congratulatory message, the CEO of Wakawaka Sports Extra, Kennedy Onwunali commended the management, players and coaches of Heartland FC for the tremendous success at the just concluded 2022/2023 NNL season.
While expressing satisfaction with the unbeaten run of the club in the regular season and playoffs, Onwunali tasked the team to continue the fine form in the NPFL by consolidating on the achievements in the NNL.
Onwunali, who urged the Imo State government to continue providing all necessary support to the team, appealed to fans and supporters of the Owerri-based side to rally behind the team in the top flight division.
Also, Onwunali seized the opportunity to extend his commendation to the Nigeria Football Federation for appointing foremost media guru, George Aluo as the Chairman of the NNL.
The CEO expressed confidence in the ability of Aluo to spearhead the league to enviable height through reforms and innovations.
Onwunali urged him to remain focused in the new assignment and build on the successes recorded towards the growth and development of the league.
