A group, Concerned Group of Active Nigeria Professional Footballers, has commended the Interim Management Committee, IMC, and the Board of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, for their outstanding performances in the organisation of the just concluded season.
In a statement by its Chairman, Festus Austine of Rivers United and signed by its Secretary, Sunday Abe of Sunshine Stars said both boards performed credibly well in terms of creating enabling environment for teams to flourish.
“On behalf of the Chairman of the Concerned Group of Active Nigeria Professional Footballers, Skipo Augustine Festus of Rivers United FC and all other members of CGANPF commed the Nigeria Football Federation, the interim Management Committee of NPFL and the Board of the NWPFL for their outstanding performance in the organization of the 2023 Nigeria Professional Football leagues across board in a very professional and unprecedented manner.
“As major actors of the game, we feel elated and fulfilled in the open and transparent manner that prompted quality officiating, fairness and a level playing field for all teams provided by the league bodies, backed by the NFF from the start of league up to the end of the Super Six of the NPFL and the NWFL resulting in high level players performance all through the season.
“We also want to use this opportunity to congratulate the champions of the 2023 Leagues, both of the NPFL and the NWPFL , Enyimba international GC and Delta Queens FC, for their victory while saluting all the participanting teams for putting up great performances all through the season.
“We look forward to a more improved new season with more better packages for players wellfare and giving premium attention to games scheduled that put less pressure on players mental , physical and general well-being.”
