Former Team Manager of Bayelsa United, Ebi Collins has commended the Interim Management Committee, IMC, of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, led by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye.

In a chat with Wakawaka Sports Extra, Collins expressed satisfaction with the tremendous success recorded so far in the 2022/2023 NPFL season.

He noted that there is room for improvement in some aspects such as beaming matches live, top-notch officiating from the referees and standard stadium facilities.

“In recent times, we have not had a very good league. That’s why our teams have been in and out of the continent. We don’t get past group stages.

“But with Owumi and Elegbeleye, this is the best I have seen in recent times. Teams go away and win their matches. You can see Bendel Insurance, people were thinking initially maybe they were been supported. The go home and away and get results.

“We have three things that can make our league very strong. The referees, media and administrators; these three factors will go a long way to help our league. I’m so impressed with what this present IMC has done.

“If our matches are been shown live, our referees are performing and then our stadiums are okay, I think we will get things right. For now they are doing good. I can give them 75%.”
