The Nigeria Police Force has been commended on their strict resolve and implementation of community policing Framework especially through POCACOV initiative which is aimed at saving vulnerable young minds from journeying into crime by taking necessary proactive measures of cutting the supply chains and conveyor belts of their involvement into membership of organized criminal groups (OCGs),Unlawful Societies.
This was made known on 1/5/2023 by Engr Tai -Fadipe Davis who is a foreign POCACOV Ambassador based in Manchester ,United Kingdom shortly after presentation of his certificate of his Ambassadorial Recognitions in Liverpool United Kingdom.
Presenting the certificate ,DCP Grace E Longe of the National Institute For Policing Studies (NIPS) Abuja and Also a POCACOV Stakeholder extolled the qualities of the foreign POCACOV Ambassador and charged him not to relent on his effort at ensuring that young minds at all levels retrace their steps and to continue to remain positive .She reminded him that the war against youth crime is not yet won but requires A whole of society Approaches to ensure that our young minds thrive other than journeying into the world of crime and criminality .She further charged him not to relent in his efforts for a greater society .
Responding ,he appreciated the efforts of the Nigeria police force on POCACOV initiative for constant engagement of young minds to help redirect their mindsets and remove the criminal potential in them which is under proactive policing .He also reminded young minds to try to resist temptation of being lured into membership of various Unlawful societies under any guise or promises but to always remain focus and law abiding and by toeing to values ,standard And Discipline for a greater society .
Earlier in the introductory remarks ,the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism And Other Vices (POCACOV)CSP Ebere Amaraizu had appreciated the efforts of the foreign Ambassador especially the championing of POCACOV Sports team for constant engagement of young minds through sports amongst others and charge him to keep mobilizing for partnership and the as well as enhancing the towards problem solving .
POCACOV is an NPF Community Policing Initiative and Public Relations Tool working with different stakeholders and multi Agencies and galvanizing their support and partnership as well as enhancing participation towards Problem Solving, For A Safe Peaceful And Secured communities
