Federation Cup: FR Eburuaja FC Technical Adviser optimistic of victory over Doma United

Technical Adviser of FR Eburuaja FC, Daniel Omeka has expressed optimism of victory over Doma United of Gombe in the Federation Cup Round of 32 encounter.

The Orlu-based side defeated Green Berets FC in the Round of 64 to make it a date with the Nigeria Premier Football League side.

In a chat with Wakawaka Sports Extra, on Global FM Sports Update, Coach Omeka noted that he has prepared the minds of his players psychologically ahead of the huge task.

According to him, despite the issues of insecurity in Orlu, he was able to assemble players from schools adding that they quickly adjusted and learned the rudiments of the game.

“I feel great and optimistic. We are not afraid because I know what I have impacted in my boys.

“As a coach, I have to be psychologically fit so that my players will be fit psychologically and I made them to know that we are not going there to fight war with guns, we are going there to play football. Show what you have technically and tactically. At the end of the day we carry the day against the army team.

“It wasn’t easy. The issues in Orlu has made a good number of people to flee but as God may have it, I still try to go through schools to pick up these young boys and showcase them.

“I know the job as a coach and know what to do. I am more of a developmental coach, I know what it takes to bring up boys. I’m happy my boys are picking up quickly and very fast in learning. They are students. Most of them are in school and just finished their SSCE.”
