The Labour Party Presidential candidate in 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, is expected to grace the annual Mbaise Policy Roundtable, MPR, summit billed to hold on 3rd January 2023.
The MPR Chairman, Prof Eddie Oparaoji, who made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with Wakawaka Sports Extrat, said that Prof. Pat Utomi; Prof. Joe Aheneku; Sir Stanley Amuchie, Major General Ogunlewe Rtd among others will speak at the event.
Prof Oparaoji, who doubles as the Chairman of Labour Party, United States Chapter, said that the theme of the programme: “Education and Agriculture as Building Blocks for Youth Leadership And Entrepreneurship,” is aimed at focusing on the development of human capacity for the Mbaise nation.
He described the summit as a platform where the best, which Mbaise can offer to the world is showcased for the growth of the nation adding that it serves as a significant accomplishment to the region.
He said: “We usually have our global annual summit in January and we focus on topics that are germaine to the development of human capacity for our region.
“Our theme for this year is, “Education and Agriculture as Building Blocks for Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship.” More importantly, we will be having a slate of very important speakers who will do justice to this theme.
“Among those we are expecting to be speakers are: His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, who happens to be the Presidential candidate for the Labour Party. We also expect Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Joe Ahaneku- former Vice Chancellor for Nnamdi Azikiwe University Major General Ogunewe former Commander Nigeria Army Engineer and Sir Stanley Amuchie. In addition we have very high quality speakers who will be there.”
