The National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) NPF Community Policing Initiative ,Csp Ebere Amaraizu has been recognized and Awarded as the PILLAR OF SPORTS Enugu State in grateful Recognition of his selfless Service Towards the Development of Sports at the Grass Root .The Award of Recognition as the Pillar of Sports was handed to Amaraizu by the Enugu state Commissioner for Youth and Sports ,Hon Tony Manfred Nzekwe on Monday 20th December ,2021 at the Mainbowl of the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus Stadium on the occassion of the final of the Coal City Football League also known as BOOLU OGBE sponsored by Gofec Movies Limited and Zenith Bank Plc in partnership with Enugu state Ministry of Youths and Sports Development.Amaraizu is now a Coach having graduated from the National Institute For Sports (N.I.S) is the Enugu state Chairman of the Taekwondo Association as well as the Vice Chairman of Enugu State Boxing Board and currently,the South East Director of Nationwideleagueone (Third tier Nigeria football cadre).He was the integral man in the first edition of the Coal City Football League (BOOLU OGBE) tagged POCACOV/GOFEC Neighbourhood Football League in partnership with Enugu state Ministry of youths and Sports Development season 1 for youth Value Reorientation,Engagement and Strategic Leadership direction and for a safe ,peaceful and secured communities.Responding,Amaraizu appreciated the gesture and described it as a catalyst to trigger better days for sports growth and Development in the state and beyond especially at the grass Roots for self Discovery and strategic Leadership direction.It will be recalled that Amaraizu has also written a book on Sports tagged Perspectives in SPorts Development where he xrayed some vexing issues hindering sports development and the Core Values of Sports .He also served as Sports officer of Enugu state ,Manager of Crimebusters Fc Enugu that defeated Rangers International Fc Enugu in the 2018 finals of the Enugu state Aiteo Cup competition.
