As part of Measures and modalities towards enhancing the Safety and Security of Drivers and passengers in line with the actualization of the
safety and security framewok of the Nigeria Police Force for a safe,Peaceful and secured environment especially during the yuletide,The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has developed a module of sensitizations through the IGP Pocacov Resource Centre for effective sensitizations and Park 2 Park Campaign with Stakeholders and Multi Agencies .According to the National Coordinator POCACOV CSP Ebere Amaraizu,this has become necessary in order to equip citizens with basic information and Tips which will serve as guide as they embark on their journey.It is a community driven activity anchored on community based crime prevention approach which requires Participations and Problem Solving.The Road Transport Unions are Stakeholders of POCACOV as well as other multi agencies.There is development of campaign Stickers,posters,gingles and Skits by broad Spectrum of POCACOV Ambassadors who are Nolly Wood Actors/Actress,Comedians,Artiste and Master of Ceremonies etc which is geared towards achieving the aims and essence of the Activity.It is all about awareness creation/Sensitization,Advocacy and Reorientation and it will also cut across substance and drug Abuse by some drivers as a means of remaining alert to their driving activity and which can pose danger.It is all about DRIVE TO BE SECURED AND SAFE.We are reawakening their security and safety consciousness through this community driven activity as Security and safety is everybodys responsibility.Passengers also need to be security conscious aswell in order not to play into the waiting hands of would be mischief makers that may put up as motorists and thats why we shall sensitize them on the need to board their vehicles from Government approved points/parks for ease of reference .The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices(POCACOV) is an NPF Community Policing Initiative working with difeerent Stakeholders and Multi Agencies, mobilizing and galvanizing their support for partnership as well as enhancing their participations for problem solving.
