Ex Nigerian international and S.A to the president of the Nigerian football federation Chikelu Iloanusi has expressed optimism and confidence ahead of Super Eagles world cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape verde.
Iloanusi told wakawaka sports that inspite of the coach’s choice of players either home or foreign based, he is confident of victory against the two opponents considering the quality of players we have.
Super Eagles of Nigeria will lock horns with Liberia at the FIFA worldcup qualifying match at the Teslim Balogun stadium after which they will travel to battle Cape Verde to battle the blue sharks few days later.
“ The coach has made the decision on the choice of players and it’s up to the technical crew to do the needful. For now it doesn’t matter if it is home or foriegn based but with the quality of players we have at our disposal, I’m quite confident of victory. “ Iloanusi said.
Iloanusi also retoriated the importance of female football development in Nigeria with refrence to the preparation of the Aisha Buhari Cup.
“ The NFF president is very happy to organize the Aisha Buhari Cup because it is one of the many achievements as a member of the FIFA governing council member.
It is even good we are doing it for the female (falcons), so they can really access the squad we have. Any way i wish them the best of lick“ he concluded.
