Imo Racket Ball Players Get Praises From Sports Commissioner for Excellent Showings At The Open CBN Tennis Championships
Imo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon Dan Ogu has sent a strong letter of congratulations to three distinguish citizens of the state, Chituru Nwaozuzu Uchenna Oparaoji and Chima Michael,for their sterling performances at the just concluded National CBN Senior Tennis Championships.
The three won gold and silver at their respective final games of the CBN Senior Opens in Abuja today.
Hon Ogu said the State Government is in touch with the athletes and received the news of their performance as a victory for the people of Imo State and sports in general .
He urged every citizen of the state to emmulate their resiliency for the State to move forward in all areas of her life.
Chituru Nwaozuzu defeated kafayat Omisore on super tie breaker to emerge champion of the wheelchair category for the second time, while Chima lost in the men’s doubles finals and Uchenna Oparaoji lost to Imeh Joseph by 6-3 5-7 4-6 in the finals of the men category.
