On the 15th of June 2026 history was made in Ebonyi State as who is who in Ebonyi State and indeed the South East gathered for the grand endorsement of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for second term in office.
As early as 7:am Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium being the venue of the event was already busy with party members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who were coming in their numbers to the stadium to secure a place ahead of the mammoth crowd expected at the August event. Governor Nwifuru had led the APC national Chairman, Professor Nentawa Yilwatalda to commission a senior staff quarters built by his administration for the ICT University, Oferekpe. The Governor also led Professor Nentawa Yilwatalda who was the special guest of honour to the event to inspect some ongoing projects embarked upon by his administration.
At the Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium, Governor Nwifuru who was highly elated at the marmout crowd that has gathered for the grand endorsement of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed optimism about the continued goodwill of Mr. President to Ebony state hence the reason for the grand endorsement ” We are gathered here today to endorse Mr. President for a second term in office, to tell the whole world we have no other candidate candidate than Mr.president ”
Governor Nwifuru who berated the opposition PDP who he said allegedl that Ebonyi has been handed over to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Barr Nyesom Wilke added that ” no other political party will take the lead in the state apart from APC as Mr. President is the only president who initiated a project in the state and furnished it” Nwifuru ‘s speech which was intermittently paused by cheers from the marmout crowd was indeed concise and direct.
The APC national Chairman Professor Nentawa Yilwatalda in his speech praised the good administrative gestures of Governor Nwifuru and called on Ebonyians to continue to support his administration. In his words ”

However, the grand endorsement of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu was done by a voice vote raised by the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martins Elechi and seconded by the former Senate president, Chief Anyim Puis Anyim while echoed by the marmout crowd.
The event also received goodwill messages from other special guests such as the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Charles Soludo, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, and Governor Peter Mba of Enugu state who was represented by his Deputy Governor, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai
