Aboh Mbaise Council Signs MoU for 82-Unit Shopping Mall at Eke Nguru

The Aboh Mbaise Local Government Council in Imo State has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Presso Shed Investment Limited for the development of an 82-unit ultra-modern shopping mall at Eke Nguru Market.

According to a report by Dike Godspower, Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman on Media, the agreement was signed on Thursday at the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Council Headquarters.

The Executive Chairman of the council, Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, signed the agreement on behalf of the council, while the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Presso Shed Investment Limited, Barr. Emma Njoku, signed for the developer.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Secretary to the Local Government, Barr. Charles Mbakwe; Supervisor for Works, Sir John Ikewe; Director of Administration and General Services (DAGS), Mrs. Chinedu Ajagu; and the Council Treasurer, Mr. Ndubuisi Ucheghara.

Godspower reported that, speaking during the signing ceremony, Alaribe described the project as a major milestone in his administration’s commitment to economic development, investment promotion and the modernisation of market infrastructure across Aboh Mbaise.

According to the report, the chairman said the shopping mall would provide traders with a modern and conducive business environment while boosting commercial activities within the local government.

The 82-unit ultra-modern shopping mall is expected to create employment opportunities, attract private investment and stimulate economic activities around Eke Nguru Market and its environs.

Godspower further reported that the partnership with Presso Shed Investment Limited underscores the council’s efforts to leverage private-sector investment in delivering infrastructure that will support sustainable economic growth and improve the business environment in Aboh Mbaise.
