Excitement as Ikole West LCDA Chair, Adeyemo Empowers Security Agencies, Combs Forest

In a bid to protect lives and property of residents of Ikole West in Ekiti State, Chairman of the Local Council Development Area, Hon. Mrs Mosunmola Adeyemo has empowered security agencies in the area.

No fewer than 100 Traditional Local Hunters received various security apparatuses at the LCDA headquarters in Ikole on Monday, including uniforms, torchlight and rain boots to enhance their jobs.

Other security outfits including the Nigeria Police, DSS, NSCDC, FRSC, NDLEA, Peace Corps, Amotekun, among others, received cash gifts support.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Chairman of the LCDA said the initiative is to complement the efforts of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji towards ensuring that Ekiti communities are safe.

Adeyemo, who appreciated the security agencies for their efforts in discharging their duties effectively, urged them to work harmoniously towards a safer Ikole West LCDA.

Responding, the Divisional Police Officer in Ikole, CSP Afe Mayowa commended the chairman for her magnanimity and pledged their total commitment in the course of their duties.

In the same vein, the leader of the Traditional Local Hunters in the area, Emmanuel Oguntoye promised wholeheartedly to deliver their duties effectively saying that the initiative will further enhance their jobs.

The security agencies alongside administrators in the LCDA embarked on bush combing exercise while the event attracted dignitaries such as the Obaloke of Igbona Ekiti, Oba Johnson Adeyemi.
