The Africa Universities Fund, Inc. (AUF) has entered into a landmark partnership with St. Joseph College of Nursing Sciences, Mbaise, to integrate the Google Professional Career Certificate in Project Management into the college’s nursing curriculum.
The collaboration, formally inaugurated on August 6 by Dr. Tobechukwu Nwachukwu, AUF’s Regional Manager for West Africa, will see the college designated as an AUF Learning Link Campus. This status grants students access to a wide range of AUF’s digital learning programs in healthcare and technology.
According to Dr. Nwachukwu, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between healthcare education and the skills demanded in the modern workplace. “By equipping nursing students with project management and digital competencies, we are preparing them to be leaders in healthcare innovation both in Nigeria and globally,” he said.
The program will prepare nursing students not only to provide high-quality healthcare services but also to manage projects effectively and utilize digital tools in clinical and administrative roles.
The partnership is part of AUF’s broader mission to enhance higher education across Africa through strategic collaborations, global learning opportunities, and technology-driven training.
Based in New York City, AUF is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing transnational education and developing digital skills for African students through alliances with academic institutions and industry leaders.
