Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise – In a keenly contested election held on Easter Monday, Bar. Charles Onyirimba of Umunnachi, Nnarambia Ahiara, emerged as the newly elected President-General of the Nnarambia Development Union (NDU).
The election took place at the Ahiara Podium beside Central School, drawing a large turnout of indigenes and stakeholders. Bar. Onyirimba clinched victory amid high anticipation, signaling a new chapter for the union.
Hon. Chidi Jemanus Oledinma was elected as the Union’s Secretary, forming part of the new leadership team set to steer the affairs of the NDU.
The Returning Officer, Chief Reginald Odunze, officially declared the results in the presence of the Chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area, Chief Larry Chikwe, and a host of community leaders and residents.
The atmosphere was festive, as members of the community expressed optimism about the union’s future under the new leadership.
Bar. Onyirimba, in his brief remarks, thanked the people for their support and promised to promote unity, progress, and sustainable development in Nnarambia.
