The Executive Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema council area of Imo State, Prince Marcel Amadioha has advised journalists from the oil rich communities to always project their localities positively
Amadioha during an interface with the practicing journalists from Ohaji/Egbema LGA outlined some of his achievments recorded so far in the council which include grading of roads to ease trific movement, building Secretariat at the LGA Headquarters which will be completed before the end of the year
Amadioha stressed that his administration has been able to renovate and equip heath centres within Ohaji/Egbema communities with the state-of-the-art facilities with a view to improving good health among the locals, harping that, with good health, revenue will multiply for even development and advancement.
Hinting that many locals were given gifts such as rice and other valuable items to enable them celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivals with joy, Amadioha remarked that he has been relating well and cordially with the stakeholders and Ezes aimed at maintaining peace at various communities.
He urged Ezes to work cordially with relevant bodies and stakeholders to keep afloat peace, security, development and conviviality which he added are parts of the ideologies of APC and agenda of the Shared Prosperity Government of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
He said: ” do not say most of the good things I do for my people. I have deep love for them, hence I lead them democratically and in line with the mandate of the 3R administration. It is always good to give back to the people… I’m development-oriented and I will often do good things for the agrarian Ohaji/Egbema people”.
The chairman described area as the most peaceful in Imo State, with huge oil deposit, having fertile vast land, ornamented with huge mineral resources.
He said: “My utmost priority of governance is to ensure peace is sustained in all communities in Ohaji/ Egbema. I must bring all stakeholders together to ensure peace is always improved. The Leaders should use the money paid by oil companies operating in the area for the good of the people. This will strengthen peace, security and development. I promise to do more”
Thanking the journalists for identifying with him, Amadioha advised them to use their Pen and Media to project the locality positively.
Speaking earlier, the interim Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema Practicing Journalists, Oloko Reginald, lauded the Chairman for being good to the people.
He said that the chairman has exemplified good governance and purposeful leadership at the oil rich region.
