By Silvernews

The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Amb. Sokubo Sara-Igbe Sokubo, has urged the youths of Imo State to remain productive, patient, and supportive of the government at both state and national levels.

Speaking during an interactive session with youths in the state after attending the burial service of a family friend, Sokubo commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his youth-friendly policies and developmental achievements, particularly in infrastructure.

He highlighted the governor’s extensive road construction projects, emphasizing that such efforts would boost commercial activities and improve the state’s economy. The NYCN President further appealed to Governor Uzodimma to create more opportunities for youth engagement, stressing that such initiatives would foster economic prosperity, peace, security, and social stability in the state.

Sokubo also called on non-governmental organizations to collaborate with the Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka-led Imo NYCN, affirming him as the legitimate Chairman of the Council in the state. He warned Imo youths to steer clear of individuals he described as impostors and fraudsters, whom he accused of misusing the platform to exploit unsuspecting young people.

In his remarks, the Imo NYCN Chairman, Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka, warmly welcomed the NYCN President to the state. He assured Sokubo that his leadership would continue to coordinate Imo youths towards unity, lawfulness, and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
