An illustrious son of Ilile Autonomous Community in Ohaji/Egbema council area of Imo state Dr. Basil Oguguo has initiated positive move to light up his community with Solar energy light..
Oguguo disclosed this when he received a team of enginieers from Darwey Coast Company Ltd Lagos in his community weekend along side with some community leaders.
Conducting the team round the community for feasibility studies, Oguguo who is the man behind the scene assured that all arrangements have being concluded to ensure immediate take off of the installation of the facilities aimed at electrifying all parts of the community.
Dr. Oguguo pointed out that he is touched by the way the Community has remained without electricity for many years without any positive effort by government to change the narratives.
He assured them of full cooperation of the peaceful people of his community to ensure timely completion of the project
Dr. Oguguo appealed to them to work within the time frame in line with the agreement in order to deliever as scheduled
The All Progressive Congress (APC) chairman of Ohaji/Egbema, Hon. Obioma Obasi thanked the donor Dr. Basil Oguguo for his magnanimity and assured the team the cooperation and assistance of the community to ensure success.
Adding their voices Supol Fred Nwagbara Rtd and the President General (PG) of Ilile Autonomous Community Hon. Theodor Ukpabi also commended Dr. Basil Oguguo for his kind gesture and intention to light up the community especially at this point of need of electricity in the community
In his responses, the Company PRO and the team leader, Mr. Celestine Ohaegbulem informed the community that rural electrification through Solar Energy has being their major responsibility
He intimated the people that the Solar Energy after installation will carry prepaid meter which are of two types, the single face and the double face.
While assuring that the Solar Energy will give any thing electricity can give, Oghaegbulem said that where there is no problem the project will last for 3 months.
The Company PRO Celestine Ohaegbu was accompanied by the Project Manager Mr. Ignatious Onye while other members of the community present include Mr. Kevin Okaru, Chinedu Offurum, Chima Aham, the Ilile Community Youth President and his Exco members
