Following the recent social media engagement space dialogue conducted by Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation(CLIMHAF), a global organization dedicated to mental health awareness and education on “the application of artificial intelligence in the detection of mental health challenges”, and the subsequent resolution of these challenges by mental health professionals and counselors, several commendable reactions have emerged.
One such reaction was provided by Pharm Ugwu Amarachukwu Emmanuella from Enugu, who described the initiative by Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation(CLIMHAF) as an exemplary one that will facilitate the rapid detection of mental health challenges in individuals through an artificial tree model that will collect individual mental health data. Emmanuella expressed gratitude to Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation (CLIMHAF) for their problem-solving initiative, which will contribute to the stabilization of numerous mental health challenges.
Alhaji Abubakar Magaji Yabo from Sokoto State also commented on the social media space and commended the Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation for its innovative approach to developing a life-saving initiative. He lauded the commendable efforts and presentation of Mr. Chukwuka Ugwu, a U.K.-based data scientist and artificial intelligence developer, on the mental health AI model.
When contacted, the Executive Director of Cope and Live Mental Health Awareness Foundation, Rev. Chukwudiebube Nwachukwu, confirmed that the organization is actively exploring various avenues to enhance public understanding of mental health. This includes clarifying the nature of mental health and distinguishing it from other concepts, as well as elucidating the effects of negative emotions such as anxiety, overthinking, and stress on mental well-being and their impact on various aspects of life, including decisions, judgments, and overall well-being. The artificial intelligence model designed to facilitate quick mental health assessments and evaluations is currently in the development phase, and once finalized in collaboration with partners, it will be made publicly accessible.
