2024 NUJ Triennial National Delegates’ Conference: Comrade Adiuku emerges victorious

The incumbent Zonal Secretary of South East -zone C of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku has been reelected as Secretary of the zone.

Adiuku won the election unopposed in the 8th Triennial National Delegates’ Conference (elections) held on Wednesday, 27th November 2024, in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

Comrade Adiuku, who is on a second term, emerged victorious following quality and diligent service in his first tenure.

Receiving his Certificate of Return, the South East Zonal Secretary, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku expressed appreciation to South East delegates for their confidence in reelecting him, assuring that he will not relent in delivering on expectations.

He added that his second tenure will record tremendous new heights as “what is worth doing is worth doing better”, hence called on the South East Journalists to always contribute their quota to make the zone better.

“…Let’s make Zone C Better”, Adiuku stressed.

The election conducted amidst tight security had Comrade Mike Ikeogwu as the Chairman of the electoral committee.

Recall, Comrade Adiuku had served as Chapel Assistant Secretary. He was also Ex-Officio and Assistant Secretary of Imo Council before he was elected as Zonal Secretary for the South East (Zone C).
