The Nigeria Players Union, national association of Nigeria Professional Footballers NANPF has appointed Mr Gerrit Davids as international Advisory Consultant .
Mr Gerrit Davids a lawyer and media consultant based in South Africa, is the Chief Executive Officer of Gerom Media & Sports Entertainment, has a long standing working relationship with the players union. He has been in Nigeria twice working with the union to organize various sporting activities. He facilitated the Football Africa Forum held in Lagos at Best Western hotel from 19-20 of February 2018. He was also the guest speaker of the seminar during the 1st National Executive Council Meeting of the players union and the ground breaking ceremony of the Stephen Keshi Football and vocational training center ( SKFVTC) Obazuwa, Edo State from 22 – 23 of September 2016.
Gerrit Davids appointment is a right steps in the right direction as he is well equiped and intellectually position to project the union activities and programs amongst the international sporting Communities using his vast wealth of experience and contacts
