Abia State Executive Governor, Alex Otti, has eased the transportation of Abia Warriors FC and as well enhanced the players comfort with the donation of a 32-Seater Coaster bus to the club, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
The donation was in fulfilment of his earlier promise to the club and on Friday, the Governor matched words with action by handing over the key and documents of the bus to the club.
The Governor had during a civic reception he organized for the 2024 President Federation Cup runners-up at his country home at Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa, promised to give a bus to the club.
The Umuahia based outfit was plagued by transportation challenges throughout last season, and the Governor’s swift action comes as a soothing relief.
An obviously elated Chairman of Abia Warriors, Coach John Obuh while taking delivery of the bus expressed gratitude to the Governor for living up to his billing describing him as “The Promise Keeper”.
While noting that the Governor’s gesture will not only reduce transportation costs, Coach Obuh said the development will also galvanize the club to better performance forthwith.
