Nigerian semi-professional footballer with AFC Birmingham in the United Kingdom, Pascal Nwachukwu has revealed how he combines football with studies, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Nwachukwu said that it is always difficult to combine his love for football and studies noting that there are times he always catch up with school activities and training or matches.
His words: “My experience so far as a semi-professional footballer as well as combining my studies and work is not been easy and not the way I pictured it. There are times that it’s either I am trying to catch up with the school work or I am trying to catch up with training and matches.
“It’s not been easy trying to combine them. It’s been really tough. There are times I have gone to matches but I have to work that day. What I normally do is to take my training kits to work and from there I am going to play the match.
“You have to try to combine two different activities to make it work. Because I love football, I will always try to create time for myself to get fit. I am in a very good and competitive team and if you are slacking, you might not get game time.
“I play for the team – AFC Birmingham. It’s affiliated to the official team – AFC Birmingham. I love football and I try to give time to training and game. As long as you love what you are doing, you are going to find time to do that. I still have to do it.”
Quite the hardworker. This would definitely help him in developing good “Time Management Skill” and “Multi-Tasking”.
