Some concerned stakeholders have questioned the non inclusion of hottest NPFL player, Chijioke Mbaoma into the Super Eagles squad.
According to them; “Super Eagles list without the hottest player in the Nigeria Premier Football League, Chijioke Mbaoma of Enyimba and inviting a player who left for Tanzania league last season is making NPFL look like a child play that must be stopped.”
Nigeria’s Head Coach, Finidi George, had picked rave-of-the-moment Ademola Lookman, African Player of the Year Victor Osimhen and safe hands Stanley Nwabali among a crop of 23 players who will do battle with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana and the Cheetahs of Benin Republic in upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
