…Urges Govt To Implement Policy On Heavy-duty Trucks
National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Imo State Chapter, has Sympathized with families of Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri Junction Accident victims.
The Council gave the consolation message in a release duly signed by its Chairman, Barr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka which was made available to the media on Monday,
Udoka who condemned the tragic incident, called on government to effectively implement the policy which does not allow Heavy-duty Trucks to ply in Day Time or Rush Hours in the state.
He pointed out that when the policy is fully, fairly implemented, the rate of road accident would reduce, saying if proper measure was taken, the tragedy would not have happened.
The Council also urged the state government to build a solid structure that will prevent future road mishap at IMSU Junction.
