The Commissioner For Youths And Sports, Hon. Obinna Onyeocha Has Sent His Congratulatory Message To The Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria, SWAN, Imo State Chapter, On Its Successful Election Recently.
The SWAN-Imo Had Last Saturday, 18th Of May, 2024 Held Its General Election Which Produced A New Set Of Leadership For The Association.
The Commissioner Specifically Expressed Satisfaction With Conduct Of Members Of The Group In Ensuring That The Election Held Smoothly And Without Rancor.
He Thanked The Former Chairman, Mr. Everest Ezihe For Serving The Association Meritoriously, While Urging The New Chairman, Mr. Cosmas Chukwuemeka Who Was Equally Sworn In Same Day To Emulate Some Of Ezihe’s Positive Attributes, And Improve On Them.
Commissioner Onyeocha Expressed Optimism That The New SWAN Exco Would Bring in Positive Changes Into Sports Journalism In The State, Even As He Looks Forward To A Progressive Partnership Between The Ministry Of Youths And Sports And The SWAN Imo.
The Commissioner Also Appealed To SWAN IMO State To Unite Members So As To Ensure Impressive Reportage Of Sports Development In The State Which Has Been Receiving Positive Attention Under The Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Administration.
