Former Heartland Queens Football Club of Owerri Captain, Ugobest Osuji said she is using her time at Ibom Angels to relaunch her career to the top flight of Nigeria women football where she belongs, Silvernews.com.ng reports.
Speaking with the media after helping Ibom qualify for the semi finals of the Cross Rivers State First Lady’s Female Football Competition in Calabar, the player who helped Heartland Queens to gain promotion to the NWFL said she has put hert experience in the last few months behind her and is looking forward to a fruitful stay at the former NWFL side.
Osuji said she is full of excitement working with Coach Edwin Okon, who she described as a father figure to her adding that she is very ready to work hard to achieve her dreams.
Since she joined the Uyo based team two weeks ago, the defense strong woman has scored once and assisted once for the team in two games.
According to her, “scoring goals is one of my strong points as a player. I scored the goal that kept Heartland Queens in the league till today two seasons ago. I also scored goals at the play-off that helped Heartland to qualify for the league after being relegated.”
