The Enugu Taekwondo School has commenced its year 2024 Taekwondo Classes for children and young persons cutting across 6 to 14 years at the outside Arena of the Pavilion of Indoor Sports Complex of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of Enugu State Taekwondo Association, Ebere Amaraizu while reacting on the essence of the outlined taekwondo program for first quarter covering January to March.
According to Amaraizu, the Program include General fitness, endurance, speed with cardio exercises, flexibility, Strength Basic fighting skills, footwork, combination of kicks, attacks and defence, fight management. Others include sparring, shadow sparring, competition fighting rules and techniques amongst others.
According to him; “We have Experienced Taekwondo Coaches with the likes of Coach Musa, Frank,Chibuzor under the able headship of grandmaster Dennis Ani with able support of our reputable taekwondo Board.
“The fact is that Taekwondo is a game of value with high moral code and which enables Promotion of positive behaviours and Strenghtening of resilience and positive Coping Skills.
“We at Taekwondo School with our able Team Members are strongly determined towards taking these our3 children and young persons through the world of the taekwondo tenets which includes courtesy, indomitable spirit, perseverance, self control, integrity amongst others.
“We teach them Olympic Education Values of excellence, respect and friendship. The end of the quarter program will witness personal evaluation of all athletes for progression into next quarter programs.”
